About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a team focused on improving business performance, operational effectiveness, and productivity across Wolters Kluwer
- Partner with senior leaders across business units, Finance, Technology, Strategic Sourcing, Global Business Services, and Corporate Functions
- Identify opportunities, build alignment, and drive initiatives from concept through execution
- Build savings pipelines and benefit-tracking methodologies
- Lead cross-functional initiatives improving efficiency, service quality, cost position, and productivity
- Develop and monitor KPIs, scorecards, and reporting frameworks for executive decision-making
- Identify business risks, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities, and recommend corrective actions
- Design scalable operating models, governance frameworks, and management processes
- Structure and solve complex business problems using data, research, financial analysis, and stakeholder input
- Translate findings into actionable recommendations and develop executive presentations and business narratives
- Lead high-priority initiatives and special projects
- Manage multiple workstreams, monitoring progress, risks, and dependencies
- Ensure initiatives are operationalized and embedded into the business
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team
- Provide direction, prioritization, and feedback; support talent retention and succession planning
- Foster an inclusive, continuous-improvement environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree required
- 10+ years in business operations, operational excellence, strategy, management consulting, analytics, or finance leadership roles
- Proven track record leading complex cross-functional initiatives with measurable business impact
- Demonstrated success partnering with and influencing senior leaders
- Strong business, financial, and analytical acumen, with the ability to turn data into practical action
- Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in fast-paced, matrixed environments
- MBA or other advanced degree preferred
- Experience in software, SaaS, information services, or shared services environments preferred
- Experience leading cost optimization, productivity, or business performance initiatives preferred
- Experience applying analytics, automation, and digital capabilities to improve outcomes preferred
