About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Project manage software development teams throughout the entire software development project lifecycle, including planning, construction, testing, and deployment
Work with teams and stakeholders to ensure projects meet requirements and are delivered with quality and timeliness
Coach and guide teams in Agile practices
Facilitate team meetings, remove impediments, and shield teams from interruptions
Lead projects with internal and external developers, testers, analysts, and product managers using Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies
Identify and manage project issues and risks through resolution
Report sprint, release, and project delivery status
Participate in related status meetings
Ensure artifacts are accurate and documents clearly define scope and status and receive stakeholder approval
Prepare timely, clear, and concise reports and presentations for management
Maintain strategic focus on deliverables and balance immediate project needs with long-term company goals
Promote process changes where existing processes do not reflect best practices or provide adequate controls and direction

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience
Minimum 5 years of experience working with software development teams
At least 3 years of experience leading teams as a scrum master or project manager
Experience building and managing project/release plans, managing risk, scheduling, estimating, and resource planning
Solid functional knowledge of software development processes
Experience managing teams/projects using an iterative methodology such as Agile or Scrum
Scrum Master certification is preferred
Experience managing 3rd party vendors and associated deliverables is preferred
Experience managing geographically dispersed teams is preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Experience with Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, or Jira is preferred
Experience using AI tools to accelerate data consolidation for reporting is preferred
