About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Implement and monitor quality assurance processes and procedures
- Identify and resolve quality-related issues through data analysis and technical judgment
- Provide informal guidance and support to new team members
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and other departments to improve product quality and process efficiency
- Document and communicate quality metrics, findings, and improvement recommendations
- Lead APQP activities for new product development and product transfers between facilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance plans
- Resolve complex quality issues using advanced problem-solving techniques and multi-source information
- Lead small-scale quality improvement projects, coordinating resources and timelines
- Integrate industry best practices into quality processes
- Serve as a resource for less experienced colleagues
- Identify and mitigate potential quality risks
- Apply continuous improvement and quality engineering processes across business areas
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology related field
- Level II: 3-5 years in Aerospace Quality or regulated manufacturing, technology related field
- Level III: 6-8+ years in Aerospace Quality or regulated manufacturing, technology related field
- Previous experience in customer-facing role, leading RCCAs with cross-functional teams
- NPI project execution
- Strong background in Aerospace APQP aligned with AS9145
- Familiar with leading DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, capability analysis, and PPAP
- Must be a U.S. Person within the meaning of ITAR and EAR, or eligible to obtain all required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State and/or U.S. Department of Commerce
- U.S. Person includes a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, or protected person
