About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support end-to-end SAP finance processes across Record-to-Report, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, controlling, close, and financial reporting
Help ensure standardized, compliant, and scalable processes across the enterprise
Partner with global business and IT teams to design, configure, test, and roll out SAP S/4HANA RTR capabilities aligned to a global template
Support key integrations with upstream and downstream business processes
Execute functional and integration testing, resolve defects, and support master data and process readiness
Assist with cutover and hypercare activities during go-lives
Support regional adoption during the global SAP transformation
Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements; evaluate enhancement versus new solution options; collaborate with stakeholders to define scope
Own project documentation and coordinate and execute system, integration, and User Acceptance Testing
Facilitate cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions and configure platform modules, including cross-module integration
Act as liaison between business and IT, lead training sessions, and manage stakeholder expectations
Identify and resolve complex platform-related issues; manage enhancements and bug fixes; collaborate with developers
Own small-to-medium development efforts and mentor other team members as needed
Travel approximately every other week for a large, multi-year, co-located project; typical business travel outside the project is estimated at 5–10% annually

Requirements

What you’ll need

Working knowledge of all SAP Record to Report (Finance) processes, with specialization in Parallel Ledgers, Fixed Assets, Taxes, Foreign Currencies, AR, AP, GL, Treasury and Capital Projects, and integration points with sourcing, sales & distribution and inventory highly preferred
Experience with government accounting standards such as DCAA/DCMA, CAS, etc.
Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA global implementations or rollouts, including functional testing, defect resolution, and hypercare support across sites
Advanced problem-solving skills to address complex system issues
Ability to design and optimize business processes and use modeling tools to support solution design
Experience leading training and change initiatives, developing materials, measuring adoption, managing change requests, and implementing system changes
Experience owning project documentation, version control, and audit readiness
Ability to lead small projects or workstreams and ensure timely delivery
Ability to independently gather, analyze, and validate requirements; facilitate workshops and resolve conflicts
Ability to translate requirements into functional designs and evaluate solution options
Ability to facilitate meetings, manage expectations, and resolve conflicts
Proficient in using and analyzing data within at least one enterprise system
Deep knowledge of specific platform modules and their integration points
Ability to collaborate with technical teams to support integrations, configurations, and troubleshooting
Continuous learning mindset and interest in technology trends and platform direction
Ability to lead testing efforts and ensure traceability and quality standards
