About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Process correspondence related to requests for leave
- Create written correspondence conforming to client documentation and quality assurance standards
- Respond to requests for leave
- Provide exceptional customer service through urgent follow-up, follow-through, and positive verbal and written communications
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and workflow-process conformance before moving cases to the next level
- Review documentation thoroughly through WorkCare’s case management system
- Identify issues and concerns and bring them to the supervisor to develop resolution plans
- Read source documents and create letters based on leave information and recommendations
- Compose clear and concise correspondence
- Review leave requests and make recommendations consistent with client policies and procedures
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor for efficient operation of WorkCare
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school degree required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Some college course work preferred
- 2 years’ experience working with federal and state leave of absence administration preferred
- Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) knowledge a plus
- Bilingual (Spanish speaking) preferred
- Proven ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality
- Critical thinking skills
- Ability to make independent decisions in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing at all levels of the organization
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including word meanings, spelling, composition, and grammar
- Ability to perform basic math functions
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
- Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports and/or presentations
- Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality
- Strong PC skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to learn new software as needed
