About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and operate AI systems and agentic workflows that connect AI models to Workleap’s data, tools, and applications
- Deliver production-ready AI systems and agentic workflows that provide measurable value to products and internal operations
- Build in observability, testing, security, and cost control to ensure the quality of production systems
- Turn data scientists’ evaluation results into concrete technical improvements
- Develop context integrations that enable agents to correctly use governed data and application capabilities
- Define reusable approaches and components for other teams
- Guide architecture decisions with consideration for quality, risk, and cost
- Collaborate with software development, product, platform, and security teams
- Work on AI agent reliability, trustworthy data-based responses, and the disciplined operation of AI capabilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong experience in production software development, particularly with Python and SQL
- Experience with testing, CI/CD, and operating cloud-based systems
- Hands-on experience designing, developing, and operating AI applications using foundation models, agents, tools, and context
- Experience instrumenting and evaluating non-deterministic systems, including observability, evaluations, and regression testing
- Strong architectural judgment regarding reliability, security, and cost
- Ability to take a position and defend technical decisions
- Experience developing components or tools reused by other software developers
- Working knowledge of Snowflake and its AI capabilities (Cortex), or the ability to become proficient quickly
- Daily use of AI-assisted development tools with sound judgment
- English proficiency required
- Asset: experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP AI services, or with platforms and tools that help other teams adopt AI
