About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own architecture for one or more core WorkWave platforms and shared services
Define technical roadmaps, architectural standards, technical debt mitigation strategies, and cross-portfolio alignment
Partner directly with enterprise customers to understand workflows, lead technical discovery, and design scalable integration and architecture solutions
Drive architecture across scheduling, routing, payments, telematics, ERP, and payroll domains
Lead legacy extraction programs and migrate embedded business logic and stored procedures into modern, event-driven, API-first services without operational downtime
Design reusable, plug-and-play services integrating with PestPac, RealGreen, WinTeam, and TimeGate
Lead AWS cloud platform evolution using EKS/Kubernetes, Lambda, API Gateway, SNS/SQS, DynamoDB, Aurora, PostgreSQL, and Infrastructure as Code
Architect and deploy production-grade AI systems, including multi-agent assistants, tool orchestration, human-in-the-loop workflows, evaluation frameworks, security boundaries, and token cost governance
Design high-performance, multi-tenant database architectures across SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL
Execute architectural spikes and proof-of-concepts to evaluate trade-offs using empirical data
Drive architecture reviews, security-by-design, CI/CD automation, and modern testing standards
Mentor senior and mid-level engineers through pairing, design coaching, and internal tech sessions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent professional experience
8+ years in software engineering
4+ years leading the architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise-scale distributed SaaS platforms
Expert-level proficiency in C# / .NET (Core / .NET)
Working proficiency in Python, TypeScript/Node, Java, or Go
Deep experience with AWS (preferred) or Azure architectures
Experience with Kubernetes/containers, serverless, messaging, and managed data services
Advanced SQL expertise with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL, including query tuning at high concurrency
Practical NoSQL experience, such as DynamoDB
Strong grounding in Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), microservices, and multi-tenant SaaS architecture
Practical experience or strong proven aptitude in building production LLM/agentic workflows
Experience utilizing AI-assisted software development practices
Exceptional communication skills in English, written and verbal
Ability to articulate trade-offs across executive, engineering, and enterprise customer audiences
Collaborative, low-ego leadership mindset
