About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to acquire new high-value Global Trip Support customers
- Manage and grow existing accounts and expand customer spend across World Fuel's aviation solutions
- Prospect and cultivate new business through industry relationships, referrals, conferences, networking, market intelligence, and targeted outreach
- Promote and sell Global Trip Support, Regional Trip Support, Online Flight Planning, Aviation Insurance, Fuel Programs, and other value-added aviation services
- Drive revenue growth through cross-selling and upselling across multiple product lines
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through contract execution and ongoing account development
- Build and maintain relationships with flight departments, aircraft operators, directors of aviation, chief pilots, dispatchers, schedulers, and other stakeholders
- Serve as primary contact and trusted advisor for strategic customer accounts
- Lead customer meetings, business reviews, and account planning discussions
- Identify customer needs, operational challenges, and service delivery and account growth opportunities
- Support customer retention through service, issue resolution, account health reviews, and ongoing engagement
- Monitor changes in customer operations, fleet composition, and business circumstances
- Analyze customer trends, business opportunities, industry developments, and competitive conditions
- Develop pricing recommendations and support commercial negotiations
- Support contract renewals, strategic growth initiatives, and customer expansion
- Collaborate with leadership on business aviation market development strategies
- Partner with Operations, Customer Service, Finance, Supply, and Trip Support teams
- Facilitate customer onboarding, account setup, customer preference documentation, and billing coordination
- Maintain customer records, pipeline activity, forecasts, and account plans in CRM systems
- Support international sales teams and collaborate across regions
- Travel as needed for customer meetings, conferences, business development, and team initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of sales, business development, or account management experience within business aviation, trip support, or aviation services
- Proven success acquiring and retaining high-value aviation customers
- Extensive experience selling Global Trip Support or related aviation operational services
- Demonstrated ability to build long-term customer relationships and influence key decision makers
- Strong commercial, negotiation, presentation, and consultative sales skills
- Experience managing complex customer accounts and achieving aggressive revenue objectives
- Strong understanding of business aviation operations and customer buying behaviors
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Preferred: experience selling Global Trip Support, Regional Trip Support, Flight Planning, Aviation Insurance, Fuel Programs, or related aviation solutions
- Preferred: established industry network within business aviation and flight department communities
- Preferred: knowledge of international flight operations and trip support requirements
- Preferred: experience negotiating commercial agreements and managing strategic customer portfolios
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Deep expertise in the business aviation and trip support industry
- Established reputation for building strong customer loyalty and trusted partnerships
- Consultative approach focused on solving customer challenges and creating long-term value
