Key responsibilities & impact

Build genuine relationships with donors, mostly by phone, and understand their stories, values and hopes
Create personal gift plans and invite gifts clearly and honestly, without pressure
Thank donors and demonstrate the impact of their gifts on children
Guide Visionaries from initial enquiry through to a confirmed gift in their will
Identify supporters with potential to give more
Maintain accurate records in the CRM
Assist at donor events
Collaborate with colleagues across Fundraising, Marketing and Content
Develop skills toward moving into a major donor role
Introduce donors who are ready to give more to Philanthropy Managers

What you’ll need

Experience in relationship-based work, such as fundraising, account management, sales or a similar role
Track record of working towards targets and managing your own workload
Excellent written and spoken communication skills
Warm, confident phone manner
Curiosity about people and ability to build trust over time
Ability to discuss sensitive topics, such as gifts in wills, with empathy and clarity
Strong organisation and data skills, including CRM experience
Microsoft Dynamics is a plus
Background in not-for-profit or mission-led fundraising
Experience with mid-level or legacy donor programmes is a plus
Growth mindset and desire to develop philanthropic fundraising skills
Confidence using digital tools and data with care
Fit with World Vision’s Christian identity and mission
Current entitlement to work in New Zealand
Successful completion of appropriate screening, including police vetting
