About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform computer data entry
Prepare all flight documents
Interface with U.S. Customs
Prepare import and export documentation
Accept and distribute cargo according to applicable air carrier and Department of Transportation regulations
Compile customer lists for sales leads
Solicit orders and speak with customers to complete sales
Quote prices and terms and prepare sales contracts for obtained orders
Estimate customer delivery dates based on company delivery schedules
Move cargo weighing up to 70 lbs.
Comply with WFS site security procedures for the assigned warehouse and other operations
Monitor staff, security contractors and visitors’ activities
Report security breaches, suspicious occurrences and non-compliance with the site security plan
Retrieve import and deliver export documents to and from aircraft

Requirements

What you’ll need

HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent
Valid driver's license
Port Authority or Airport Authority permit to use ramp side service roads, if applicable
Must be at least 18 years of age if the position requires driving cargo handling equipment
Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays and days off
Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand English
Minimum typing speed of 30 WPM
Ability to concentrate on detail
Ability to learn PC skills and apply knowledge
Ability to handle the stress of a fast-paced eight-hour shift
Ability to drive all cargo handling equipment
Ability to step up to an above-ground level
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. with no exceptions
