About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate activities through subordinate personnel to optimize equipment, facilities, and personnel
  • Consult with airport management
  • Manage and motivate operational personnel
  • Cooperate with upper management to formulate administrative and operational policies and procedures
  • Analyze daily operational records to maintain knowledge of station activities
  • Review and analyze expenditures, financial reports, and operational reports to determine requirements for increasing profits
  • Prepare recommendations for upper management evaluation
  • Recommend capital expenditures for new equipment to increase efficiency and services
  • Approve requisitions for equipment, materials, and supplies within the facility budget
  • Maintain and control operational requirements in accordance with the corporate security program and TSA legislation
  • Ensure company audit requirements are undertaken for continuity and compliance
  • Implement the site-specific security plan
  • Ensure WFS staff receive and display relevant company ID badges
  • Enforce compliance with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules, and governmental regulations
  • Direct investigations into internal and external facility complaints
  • May negotiate contracts with equipment and materials suppliers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to manage and motivate personnel
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
  • Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to interpret varied instructions and deal with abstract and concrete variables
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management and/or boards of directors
  • Ability to write memos conforming to prescribed style and format
  • Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand English
  • Regular and punctual attendance
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to work in an office environment using standard office equipment
