About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Plan, direct, and coordinate activities through subordinate personnel to optimize equipment, facilities, and personnel
Consult with airport management
Manage and motivate operational personnel
Collaborate with upper management to formulate administrative and operational policies and procedures
Analyze daily operational records to maintain knowledge of station activities
Review expenditures and financial and operational reports to identify profit-increasing opportunities
Prepare recommendations for upper management evaluation
Recommend capital expenditures for equipment that improves efficiency and services
Approve equipment, materials, and supply requisitions within the facility budget
Maintain and control operations in accordance with the corporate security program and TSA legislation
Ensure required company audits are conducted for continuity and compliance
Implement the site-specific security plan and ensure WFS staff receive and display company ID badges
Enforce compliance with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules, and governmental regulations
Direct investigations into internal and external facility complaints
Negotiate contracts with equipment and materials suppliers when required

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage and motivate personnel
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or business community members
Ability to write memos conforming to prescribed style and format
Ability to present information effectively to top management and/or boards of directors
Ability to apply mathematical concepts including fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret varied instructions and deal with abstract and concrete variables
Regular and timely attendance
Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand English
