About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Maintain satisfactory quantity and quality of work by assigned personnel
Explain and demonstrate work procedures, methods, and safety practices
Apportion and schedule assigned work
Observe and analyze work methods and results
Bring problems to management's attention and assist with utilization of tools, equipment, and materials
Monitor staff, security contractors, and visitors for security compliance
Report security breaches, suspicious occurrences, or non-compliance with the site security plan
Comply with WFS site security procedures
Perform work according to company rules and regulations
Enter computer data
Prepare flight documents and import/export documentation
Interface with U.S. Customs
Accept and distribute cargo according to air carrier and DOT regulations
Compile customer lists for sales leads
Solicit orders and discuss sales with customers
Quote prices and terms and prepare sales contracts
Estimate customer delivery dates based on company delivery schedules
Retrieve import and deliver export documents to and from aircraft
Report to work regularly and punctually

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Minimum typing speed of 30 WPM
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must have a valid driver's license
Ability to drive all cargo handling equipment
Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and days off
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
Ability to read and interpret printed instructions
Ability to write legibly to complete forms and paperwork
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
Ability to step up to an above-ground level
Ability to handle the stress of a fast-paced eight-hour shift
Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand English
Previous lead experience helpful
Knowledge of company operations helpful
Excellent written and oral communication skills helpful
Knowledge of Worldwide Flight Services rules and regulations helpful
