About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform computer data entry
  • Prepare, review, organize, copy, and distribute flight documents
  • Interface with U.S. Customs
  • Prepare import and export documentation
  • Accept and distribute cargo according to air carrier and Department of Transportation regulations
  • Travel to the Airport Operational Area to retrieve or deliver flight documents
  • Notify brokers or freight forwarders of shipment arrivals or holds
  • Assist customers retrieving documents and freight
  • Collect charges and document payment methods
  • Process Customs Out proof of delivery for each transaction
  • Assist with MAWBs for over-the-counter shipments
  • Confirm bookings and TSA mandatory screening
  • Capture airway bill information in airline systems
  • Manifest flights using warehouse information
  • Print and deliver flight manifests, cargo pallet messages, deadload, and NOTOC to aircraft
  • Verify post-flight inventory
  • Maintain files and records
  • Prepare irregularity and weekly import/export statistics reports
  • Answer incoming calls and respond to emails
  • Retrieve import and deliver export documents to and from aircraft
  • Report security breaches, suspicious occurrences, and site security non-compliance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Ability to learn PC skills and apply knowledge
  • Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand English
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and days off
  • Ability to handle the stress of a fast-paced eight-hour shift
  • Ability to drive all cargo handling equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Ability to maintain security under Airport Police, TSA, and United States requirements
