About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform computer data entry
- Prepare flight documents
- Interface with U.S. Customs
- Prepare import and export documentation
- Accept and distribute cargo according to air carrier and Department of Transportation regulations
- Compile customer lists for sales leads
- Solicit orders and speak with customers to complete sales
- Quote prices and terms and prepare sales contracts
- Estimate customer delivery dates based on company delivery schedules
- Move cargo up to 70 lbs.
- Comply with WFS site security procedures
- Monitor staff, security contractors, and visitors’ activities
- Report security breaches, suspicious occurrences, or non-compliance to managers or through the WFS whistleblower program
- Retrieve import and deliver export documents to and from aircraft
- Report to work regularly and punctually
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age if the position requires driving cargo handling equipment
- Valid driver's license
- Port Authority or Airport Authority permit, if applicable, to use the ramp-side service road
- Ability to drive all cargo handling equipment
- Ability to learn PC skills and apply knowledge
- Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand English
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and days off
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to handle the stress of a fast-paced eight-hour shift
