About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Maintain a satisfactory quantity and quality of work by assigned personnel
Explain and demonstrate work procedures, methods and safety practices
Apportion and schedule assigned work
Observe and analyze work methods and results
Bring problems to management's attention and assist management with tools, equipment and materials
Monitor WFS staff, security contractors and visitors' activities
Report security breaches, suspicious occurrences and non-compliance with the site security plan
Comply with WFS site security procedures
Perform work according to company rules and regulations
Enter computer data
Prepare flight documents and import/export documentation
Interface with U.S. Customs
Accept and distribute cargo according to air carrier and DOT regulations
Compile customer lists for sales leads
Solicit orders and complete sales discussions with customers
Quote prices and terms and prepare sales contracts
Estimate customer delivery dates based on company delivery schedules
Retrieve import and delivery export documents to and from aircraft
Report to work on a regular and timely basis

Requirements

What you’ll need

HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent
Minimum typing speed of 30 WPM
Must be at least 18 years of age if position requires driving cargo handling equipment
Must have a valid driver's license and Port Authority or Airport Authority (if applicable) permit to use ramp side service roads
Ability to drive all cargo handling equipment
Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays and days off
Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
Previous lead experience helpful
Knowledge of company operations
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Knowledge of Worldwide Flight Services Rules and Regulations helpful
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. No exceptions
Ability to step up to an above ground level
Ability to handle the stress of a fast-paced eight-hour shift
