About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Load and unload cargo weighing up to 80 lbs. on and off aircraft
Transport cargo between terminals and aircraft
Lift, push, pull, and position loaded containers weighing up to 3,200 lbs. on rollers
Drive a 3,000 lb. vehicle with attached carts through congested areas
Read off-load sheets to determine cargo destinations
Perform aircraft push-out and towing functions using proper ground-to-cockpit hand signals and voice commands
Receive, deliver, and physically handle freight and company material at designated express docks
Complete forms and messages necessary for assigned functions
Monitor secured areas, confront and question unauthorized personnel, and report their presence
Report security breaches, suspicious occurrences, or non-compliance with the site security plan
Comply with the WFS site security plan for the assigned warehouse
Report to work on a regular and timely basis

Requirements

What you’ll need

HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent
Must be at least 18 years of age
Ability to work in a high-noise level environment
Ability to understand and react to verbal commands and safety warnings, with and without assistance of sight or visual aids
Ability to pull, push, and lift bags weighing up to 70 lbs. onto or from a conveyor belt
Ability to pull a water hose from a stationary cabinet and connect it to an aircraft
Valid driver's license
Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and days off
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
Ability to judge distances
Ability to work in inclement weather
Ability to successfully communicate with others
Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand English
