About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Load and unload cargo, mail, express shipments, and company materials on and off aircraft
  • Transport cargo between aircraft and perform ramp transfers
  • Receive, deliver, and physically handle freight and company materials at designated docks, mail, and sorting areas
  • Complete forms and messages necessary for assigned functions
  • Transport furnishings and supplies to and from aircraft
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and racking filled and empty drums
  • De-ice aircraft, clear windshields, and spray wings and fuselage with glycol at heights of 20–80 feet
  • Push out and tow aircraft and perform guide functions
  • Connect and remove ground power and ground start units
  • Clean work areas, ramps, and facilities with or without powered equipment
  • Monitor facility security and report security breaches, suspicious occurrences, or non-compliance
  • Comply with WFS site security procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to successfully communicate with others
  • Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
  • Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and days off
  • Ability to work in a high-noise-level environment
  • Ability to pull, push, and lift bags weighing up to 70 lbs.
  • Ability to work in variable weather and environmental conditions, including jet engine fumes, vehicle emissions, dust, and jet engine noise
  • Ability to distinguish red, green, and yellow
  • Ability to use depth perception in congested aircraft and vehicle areas
