About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Load and unload mail, express, freight, and company material on and off aircraft
Transfer cargo on the ramp as required
Receive, deliver, and physically handle freight and company material
Transport furnishings and supplies to and from aircraft
Load, unload, and rack filled and empty drums
Clean work areas, ramps, and facilities with or without powered equipment as assigned
Assist in monitoring facility security
Comply with WFS site security procedures
Monitor and report security breaches, suspicious occurrences, and non-compliance
Load and unload aircraft cargo weighing up to 70 lbs. within confined cargo areas
Push, pull, and position loaded containers on rollers to and from aircraft
Transport cargo using vehicles with attached carts through congested areas
Read off-load sheets to determine cargo destinations

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Must be at least 18 years of age
Valid California driver's license
Ability to successfully communicate with others
Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand English
Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and days off
Ability to work in a high-noise-level environment
Ability to pull, push, and lift bags weighing up to 70 lbs.
Ability to work in variable weather and environmental conditions, including jet engine fumes, vehicle emissions, dust, and jet engine noise
