About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Report to the Operational Excellence group, specifically the Amazon pillar
- Oversee and improve processes, including coaching, training, and reporting
- Collaborate with facility management and staff to identify operational challenges and recommend improvements
- Initiate, manage, and execute continuous improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma, 5S, Gemba walks, and other process improvement tools
- Develop and execute plans to increase operational efficiency and reduce waste
- Measure and report project outcomes to ensure goals are met and sustained
- Identify root causes and develop corrective actions
- Educate and coach team members on continuous improvement principles, methodologies, and tools
- Communicate and manage change to support adoption of new processes
- Collect and analyze data and track KPIs to measure initiative effectiveness
- Prepare and present progress, challenge, and success reports to station stakeholders and regional management
- Support workplace safety and regulatory compliance
- Participate in safety and quality audits and implement corrective actions
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1–2 years of experience in continuous improvement, process optimization, or operational roles, preferably in an air cargo or logistics environment
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt required; Green Belt certification preferred
- Proven ability to lead improvement projects from inception to completion with measurable results
- Working knowledge of 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, and Root Cause Analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Visio is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret operational data and metrics
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed
- Ability to work in hot and cold temperatures, rain, wind, and snow
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout the shift
