About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Read and route incoming mail
- Prepare outgoing mail and correspondence, including email, faxes, and overnight packages
- Prepare cash deposits where applicable
- Compose and type routine correspondence
- Answer, route, and screen telephone calls
- Greet walk-in traffic and scheduled visitors and escort them appropriately
- Make copies of correspondence and printed materials
- Order and maintain supplies
- Arrange office equipment maintenance
- Provide customer billing support and weekly statistics support
- Support Payroll with Time & Attendance, including polling weekly punches and approved time-card edits
- Upload hours files to payroll for processing
- Enter new employees into the time clock and advise on punch issues
- Coordinate with Corporate HR to ensure new-hire and separation information is entered into Payroll, HR, and Time & Attendance systems
- Assist with benefit enrollment periods and communications
- Monitor uniform distribution and inventories
- Participate in related special projects and tasks
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Minimum typing speed of 45 WPM
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office applications
- Strong knowledge of Excel
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and days off
- Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand English
- Ability to handle the stress of a fast-paced eight-hour shift
- Ability to learn and apply PC skills
- Ability to concentrate on detail
- Prior office experience reflecting responsibility, urgency, and ability to quickly implement new concepts
- Ability to prioritize and meet time-sensitive deadlines
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Attention to detail and exceptional organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to remain stationary 50% of the time and perform office-related physical tasks
- Ability to lift, carry, or move objects, files, and documents up to 10 pounds
