About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Process payroll for hourly and salary employees
  • Review employee hours with the Time and Attendance Coordinator for payroll uploads and help resolve inaccuracies
  • Review payroll accuracy, facilitate corrections, and validate payroll for finalization and payment
  • Review and resolve pay discrepancies
  • Process and manage pay card payments and reconciliation
  • Handle employee pay inquiries in a timely manner
  • Process payroll updates, including new hires, terminations, and pay-rate changes
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
  • Support audits by providing records and documentation to auditors
  • Work closely with Compensation, Benefits, Labor Relations, and Field Operations
  • Work on special projects and perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma and five-seven years of related experience required
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll functions, including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to show discretion with confidential information
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficient with payroll software, preferably ADP and SAP
  • FPC designation desirable
