About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage, coordinate, and control airport ramp-services activities
  • Monitor the quantity and quality of work in assigned areas
  • Direct personnel and oversee staffing requirements
  • Provide input on hiring, training, coaching, counseling, and termination of subordinates
  • Ensure compliance with company rules, standards, and contractual agreements
  • Monitor and enforce budgetary controls and staffing requirements
  • Communicate with Airport Board officials and customers
  • Supervise employees to maintain customer satisfaction, safety, security, quality, and employee-relations standards
  • Maintain compliance with corporate security programs and TSA regulations
  • Conduct required company audits
  • Implement and clarify the site-specific security plan and ensure staff have proper ID badges
  • Promote a respectful and equitable work environment
  • Address passenger and operational concerns professionally
  • Coordinate with catering, fueling, maintenance, and other departments
  • Represent the company in assigned capacities
  • Report to work regularly and meet job expectations
  • Apply analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Interpret technical instructions and adapt to abstract and concrete challenges

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2–3 years of experience in ramp operations or ground handling
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and ramp operations knowledge
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Valid US driver's license required and must be maintained
  • Ability to hold and maintain an airport badge
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong team management and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Knowledge of FAA, TSA, and airline regulations
  • Ability to multitask under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Understanding of passenger and airline service expectations
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a high-noise environment
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
