About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee, coach, and educate regional WFS locations on standard operating procedures and policies
- Ensure compliance with station site security and safety programs
- Interact with U.S. governmental agencies within the scope of the position
- Coordinate with station management teams regarding emerging safety and security concerns
- Document and submit regional reports to Directors of Safety and Security
- Meet customer, airline, and airport representatives regarding safety and security issues
- Travel to respond to accidents and incidents as directed
- Assist and coach stations with required daily and weekly inspections and audits
- Verify stations complete reports required by government agencies or airport authorities
- Attend and facilitate safety and security meetings with managers and operations teams
- Create incident reports on regional safety and security status
- Compile data to support process and procedure improvement proposals
- Perform independent station audits focused on safety, security, and quality policies and procedures
- Ensure site-specific security and safety plans are current and compliant
- Assist with special projects and events or perform other required duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Two years' or equivalent experience in airline/cargo safety or security operations
- Experience using relevant technology and equipment (e.g., CCTV)
- Experience in reporting and emergency response planning
- Excellent knowledge of safety and security protocols and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals and groups with varied identities, cultures, backgrounds, and ideologies in a global environment
- Working knowledge of occupational health and safety and security regulations focused on the aviation sector, including TSA, CBP, OSHA, and FAA regulations
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Ability to respond to critical safety/security issues in a timely manner
- Ability to work individually or as part of a dynamic team
- United States Citizen
- Working knowledge of MS Office software
- High school diploma
- Regular and punctual attendance
- Ability to remain stationary 50% of the time and perform office-based physical tasks
- Ability to lift, carry, or move objects, files, and documents up to 10 pounds
