About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Monitor the ingress, movement and egress of people requiring access to company facilities and controlled airport areas
Maintain logs of cargo entering and leaving the facility when required
Ensure compliance with TSA regulations
Escort and/or identify personally owned vehicles within secured areas according to established guidelines
Visually monitor activity within controlled areas
Challenge unauthorized individuals in controlled areas according to established procedures
Recognize and act on emergency situations involving security breaches under TSA and airport regulations
Screen cargo in accordance with TSA regulations when assigned
Maintain Sensitive Security Information (SSI) according to established procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need

HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent
Must be at least 18 years of age
Strong oral communication skills
Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand English
Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays and days off
Must undergo initial and recurrent training
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand/walk for an eight-hour shift
Must be able to see clearly in low light conditions
Public contact experience preferred
Ability to remain in a confined workstation for prolonged periods
Ability to stoop, bend, reach, lift, twist and turn
Cognitive skills to comply with established security guidelines
Ability to give directions and information to employees, customers and vendors
Ability to be decisive and use independent judgment
Must be willing to wear the company-prescribed uniform and insignia
Personal appearance and grooming presenting a favorable corporate image
Regular and timely attendance
