About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Monitor the ingress, movement, and egress of people accessing company facilities and controlled airport areas
Maintain logs of cargo entering and leaving the facility as required
Ensure compliance with TSA regulations
Escort and/or identify personally owned vehicles within secured areas according to established guidelines
Visually monitor controlled areas
Challenge unauthorized individuals in controlled areas according to established procedures
Recognize and respond to emergency situations involving security breaches
Screen cargo in accordance with TSA regulations as assigned
Maintain Sensitive Security Information (SSI) according to established procedures
Provide directions and information to employees, customers, and vendors
Exercise independent judgment and decisiveness in security situations
Report to work regularly and punctually

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Must be at least 18 years of age
Strong oral communication skills
Public contact experience preferred
Must undergo initial and recurrent training
Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand English
Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and days off
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand/walk for an eight-hour shift
Must be able to see clearly in low-light conditions
Ability to remain in a confined workstation for prolonged periods
Ability to stoop, bend, reach, lift, twist, and turn
Ability to comply with established security guidelines
Must be willing to wear the company-prescribed uniform and insignia
