About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct user interviews, usability tests, surveys, and discovery activities
- Synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights into actionable recommendations
- Identify user needs, pain points, and opportunities across end-to-end warrior and family support member journeys
- Map and optimize end-to-end member journeys across digital and human support touchpoints
- Define and monitor user experience success measures
- Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
- Design and refine experiences across onboarding, resource discovery, program participation, events, referrals, and community engagement
- Define interaction patterns and experience requirements for new features and enhancements
- Support product teams throughout design, testing, and implementation
- Apply accessibility and inclusive design principles
- Contribute to the evolution of the MyWWP design system and user interface standards
- Promote consistency across digital tools and experiences
- Partner with Product, Technology, Marketing, Programs, Digital Warrior Experience, and Business Systems Analyst teams
- Translate user experience design concepts into functional requirements and implementation-ready solutions
- Facilitate focus groups, design workshops, and stakeholder reviews
- Present research findings, concepts, and recommendations to partners and leadership
- Improve information architecture, navigation, content discoverability, and user comprehension
- Participate in Agile planning, sprint activities, and release readiness efforts
- Attend required training and meetings
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in user experience design, human-centered design, human factors, information architecture, graphic design, digital media, computer science, or related field; equivalent combination of applicable education, training, certification, and experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Five years of experience in UX, product design, interaction design, or related disciplines
- Three years of experience designing customer-facing mobile and web experiences
- Three years of experience creating wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity designs
- Two years of experience conducting user research and usability testing
- Proficiency with user experience design, prototyping, and collaboration tools, including Figma and FigJam, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of information architecture, navigation design, and content organization principles
- Ability to use user research, journey mapping, service blueprinting, and accessibility evaluation methods
- Demonstrated understanding of design systems and component libraries
- Ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative data
- Ability to facilitate collaborative workshops, journey mapping sessions, design reviews, and stakeholder alignment activities
- Knowledge of analytics platforms such as GA4, Adobe Analytics, and Pendo
- Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to obtain ASIST Certification within 1 year of hire
- Up to 15% travel
