About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define software development processes required across the organization and support their adoption and implementation by developers
- Collaborate with project managers, software developers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure software quality objectives are met
- Review quality assurance processes, including code reviews, testing procedures, and defect tracking
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of engineering projects and products for compliance with defined software development processes
- Identify non-compliance or improvement areas and recommend corrective actions
- Prepare and present audit reports to management, including issues and corrective-action recommendations
- Improve software quality efficiency and effectiveness using state-of-the-art automation tools
- Collaborate with system design, architecture, development, testing, project management, and support teams
- Report to the Team Lead of Global Audit & Assessment
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5 years of experience in the development of automotive software for mass production vehicles in the automotive industry
- Knowledge of software processes such as Automotive-SPICE
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 standards
- Experience in building a supporting tool for quality assurance and establishing it efficiently
- Business-level language proficiency in Japanese and English
- Experience in quality assurance activities for mass production
- Knowledge of ISO standards related to quality (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 21434)
- Experience in software audit according to company standards
- Work experience related to software quality metrics (e.g., Cyclomatic complexity)
- Experience in Requirement management tools like DOORS, Jama, Integrity, and Polarion
- Work experience in Agile/Scrum development by using Jira/Confluence
