About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Gather information and analytics to assess and evaluate client risks for market placement
  • Create loss summaries and review program binders and policies for accuracy
  • Assist brokers and senior brokers
  • Assist with Client Renewal Strategy Meeting and RFP deliverables
  • Research market solutions and develop optimum risk solutions for clients
  • Make initial introductions to carrier and trading partners
  • Develop understanding of insurance principles and brokerage concepts
  • Adhere to quality and compliance procedures
  • Record and maintain information accurately in appropriate systems
  • Use the Broking Platform
  • Manage time and tasks effectively
  • Receive direction and constructive feedback and deliver accurate work
  • Manage relationships, focus on customers, and collaborate with internal teammates
  • Prepare and send submissions, liaise with markets, analyze exposures, work through risk models, and negotiate quotations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with a target graduation date of May 2027
  • Going into senior year in Fall 2027
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Analytically driven and detail oriented
  • Aptitude to learn and be proactive
  • Proficient in time management
  • Able to work legally in the United States indefinitely without visa sponsorship
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Most colleagues are expected to go into the office 3 times a week during the internship
