About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the development and implementation of new client strategies and solutions
- Analyze and compare vendor products, services, and contracts
- Perform financial analyses, including pricing, employee contribution strategies, and plan design modeling
- Gain specialized knowledge in pharmacy, life and disability insurance, health equity and wellbeing, vendor placement, actuarial and analytics
- Evaluate survey responses and vendor proposals
- Work on real client assignments involving data analysis, drawing conclusions, and presenting results
- Collaborate with colleagues and clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to mid-sized and smaller organizations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Progress towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in human capital/human resource management, health economics, risk management & insurance, business management, marketing and finance, actuarial science, advanced mathematics, or another major with significant quantitative work
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0
- Prior internship or other work experience demonstrating increasing levels of complex work, autonomy, and client service skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
- Able to work legally in the United States indefinitely without visa sponsorship
- Must be local and able to commute to one of the Midwest offices in Chicago or Detroit
- Graduation between December 2027 and June 2028
- Actuarial students: successful completion of one or more actuarial exams is beneficial
