About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

  • Assist with purchasing and reconciliation for affiliated units
  • Create Governors Honors Academy course offerings documents
  • Create responsibilities documents for GHA interns
  • Secure classrooms for faculty
  • Coordinate evening presentations with GHA deans and faculty
  • Create faculty shopping lists and purchase requested materials
  • Attend GHA planning meetings
  • Organize faculty-requested materials
  • Plan and execute student transportation between campuses and for off-campus trips
  • Book off-campus trips
  • Revise the GHA student handbook and medication form as needed
  • Create Qualtrics forms to collect student information, insurance card scans, waivers, and signatures
  • Work with deans to modify the course request form
  • Communicate with high schools with low participation rates to encourage applications
  • Communicate with parents about GHA
  • Assist with payroll
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree
  • One (1) year of experience with WVU business systems required
  • Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of employment
  • Valid US driver's license required
  • Ability to drive students to various events and pick up and make deliveries
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Familiarity with WVU, the Honors College, and GHA preferred
