About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Administer, maintain, and enhance the Career Center website (uConnect) and related digital resources
  • Administer and maintain Handshake, including account management, data cleanup, data integrity, and quality assurance
  • Serve as primary technical administrator for uConnect, Handshake, Big Interview, PathwayU, Focus2, Listserv, and other career technology platforms
  • Provide system administration, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, documentation, guidance, and training
  • Manage system configurations, permissions, integrations, data feeds, databases, reporting functionality, and platform maintenance
  • Administer the Ocelot chatbot and analyze usage, inquiries, and question trends
  • Monitor and analyze website, technology platform, application, and social media utilization, engagement, performance, and audience trends
  • Research, evaluate, recommend, and implement web-based tools, digital resources, emerging technologies, process improvements, and automation
  • Administer the technical and data components of the First Destination Survey within Handshake
  • Maintain career outcomes data integrity, quality, definitions, governance, management, and reporting practices
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, data visualizations, and decision-support resources
  • Analyze and disseminate career outcomes and engagement data to leadership, stakeholders, and external partners
  • Support institutional and external career outcomes reporting requirements, including NACE First-Destination Survey standards
  • Collaborate with University partners, technology vendors, and external organizations on integrations, technology initiatives, assessment, reporting, and career outcomes projects
  • Maintain documentation of systems, data definitions, reporting methodologies, processes, and procedures
  • Liaise with the Registrar’s Office and other data partners to obtain, integrate, validate, and process student data

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, statistics, information systems, computer science, business analytics, or a related field
  • Minimum of one (1) year of professional experience administering, configuring, or supporting web-based technology platforms, data systems, analytics tools, or related digital systems
  • Experience with data management, data cleaning and validation, reporting, and data visualization
  • Experience analyzing complex data and communicating findings and insights to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience managing or supporting system configurations, integrations, data feeds, user access, or permissions
  • Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders to implement technology, data, or process improvements
  • Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered
  • Strong technical aptitude with web-based platforms, databases, and digital systems
  • Knowledge of website management, usability, and digital accessibility/ADA compliance standards, including familiarity with WCAG guidelines
  • Strong data management skills, including data cleaning, validation, quality assurance, and maintaining data integrity across systems
  • Ability to analyze complex datasets, identify trends, and translate findings into reports, dashboards, visualizations, and actionable insights
  • Proficiency with Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, consistency, and data quality
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of employment
