About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, collaborate on, and maintain relationships with leaders to understand business needs and support assigned client areas
  • Deliver talent acquisition strategies, sourcing, recruitment, and full lifecycle hiring processes across WVU campuses
  • Use sourcing techniques, passive candidate strategies, and social technologies to build talent networks and pipelines
  • Report sourcing and recruitment performance metrics and ROI quarterly
  • Leverage market data, vendors, sourcing channels, and technology to build external talent pipelines
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to leaders throughout recruitment and hiring
  • Manage hiring processes from initiation through final offer
  • Conduct consultative intake meetings for new positions
  • Facilitate training on search, recruiting processes, and best practices
  • Provide weekly search status reports, assess risks and challenges, and drive solutions
  • Screen candidates, validate qualifications, and assess salary expectations
  • Manage interviews, develop interview guides, debrief interview panelists, and provide candidate feedback
  • Assist leaders in determining salary offers with Classification & Compensation
  • Maintain accurate and compliant Applicant Tracking System records
  • Collaborate with WVU ISSS on employment and sponsorship processes for foreign national hires
  • Explain WVU benefits and compensation to candidates
  • Build relationships with colleges, universities, technical schools, students, alumni, and professional associations
  • Coordinate, host, and attend recruitment networking events
  • Support the Dual Careers Program
  • Attend regular in-person and virtual meetings
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Labor Relations, Business Administration, or relevant field
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional-level human resources experience in Talent Acquisition, Sourcing, and Recruitment
  • Experience developing and executing strategic recruitment plans
  • Experience with ATS systems, job promotion, and sourcing tools; Workday Recruiting, LinkedIn, and Indeed preferred
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws governing employment policies and practices
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and presentation skills
  • Proactive and independent, with ability to take initiative
  • Strong public communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to build successful relationships with team members, leaders, and candidates
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn internal HRIS and talent management systems
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Ability to travel to all WVU facilities and regional campus locations
  • Personal vehicle or WVU vehicle may be required for travel
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable DMV record required
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or SPHR certification preferred
