About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide operational support for Talent and Culture, including reporting, auditing, program monitoring, and vendor relations
- Generate, distribute, maintain records, initiate actions, and monitor follow-up for weekly, monthly, and annual reports
- Coordinate the university-wide background check program and ensure regulatory compliance
- Review flagged background checks and serve on the Background Check Committee
- Design and provide training for internal university clients performing background checks
- Serve as point of contact for employees, volunteers, and students throughout pre-adverse and adverse background check processes
- Manage the background check vendor relationship, updates, enhancements, invoices, and payments
- Maintain the Employee Relations database
- Conduct weekly, monthly, and annual compliance audits
- Organize and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and update Talent Acquisition webpages and knowledge-base articles
- Process invoices and P-card reconciliation
- Monitor and respond to Salesforce cases and multiple vanity accounts
- Facilitate and monitor Parent / Child requisitions
- Distribute weekly communications to hiring managers and new hires about WVU resources and orientation
- Assist with policy updates, vendor contracts, and RFP processes
- Coordinate the Dual Career Program, including intake meetings, follow-ups, and employment opportunity development
- Support Talent Acquisition outreach, Handshake, career fairs, external job postings, job advertisements, and Workforce WV Virtual career fairs
- Maintain recruitment outreach documentation
- Order office supplies and track IT equipment
- Administer contract services and vendor relationships
- Schedule meetings, including candidate interviews
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree
- A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in reporting, auditing, program monitoring, and vendor relations
- Human Resources administrative duties or equivalent experience
- Experience utilizing an applicant tracking system
- Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws governing employment policies and practices
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Access
- Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn internal HRIS and talent management systems
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated knowledge of current technology
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
- Demonstrated research and critical analysis skills
- All qualifications must be met by the time of employment
