About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and implement sales strategies
  • Use in-person and phone sales calls to prospect new business and build existing accounts
  • Work with distributor partners to gain placements in on- and off-premise accounts
  • Develop distributor representative product knowledge and keep Wyld front of mind during sales calls
  • Build relationships with key accounts and develop strategies to increase product velocity and shelf presence
  • Work with retailers to implement promotions and incentives
  • Attend relevant trade shows and events
  • Inform partners about new products, innovations, and sales strategies
  • Monitor competitors to gauge market trends and defend market share
  • Analyze sales and product data monthly to identify growth opportunities and follow market trends
  • Attend sales meetings to discuss trends, data, goals, and industry feedback
  • Oversee distribution performance
  • Communicate strategically with distribution partner leaders and sales representatives
  • Engage and develop distributor partner representatives through product knowledge
  • Coach distributor representatives and ensure they have resources to secure placements
  • Perform additional duties based on business needs
  • Report to the VP of Sales

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience in direct sales, sales operations, or related field
  • CPG and wholesaler management experience are a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to professionally interact with managers, staff, and officers at all levels
  • Ability to take ownership and demonstrate a growth mindset
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions and suggestions
  • Ability to present brand information clearly and engagingly
  • Must submit to a background check
  • Must submit to a motor vehicle reporting check
  • Travel through territory required, up to 90%
