About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate or execute material/service procurement and fulfillment activities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost, schedule, and quality goals
- Manage inventory, scheduling coordination, supplier performance, and process improvement objectives
- Analyze requisitions and process them in the ERP system
- Develop and manage RFX bid packages, bid evaluations, supplier selection, purchase orders, and contracts
- Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers and contractors
- Resolve or escalate procurement, contract, supplier, and customer issues
- Build relationships with business-unit partners and suppliers
- Coordinate material deliveries, logistics, job-site deliveries, pickups, returns, and expedited orders
- Lead or support cross-functional procurement events and continuous improvement efforts
- Ensure adherence to sourcing policies, procedures, master agreements, and documentation requirements
- Train business-unit partners on Supply Chain processes as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, technical/analytical field, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Associate level: up to 10% travel; driver's license required
- Associate level: proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
- Associate level: excellent problem solving, organizational, teamwork, and communication skills
- Planner Buyer level: two years of purchasing, logistics, or other relevant supply chain experience
- Planner Buyer level: contract and purchasing knowledge required
- Planner Buyer level: strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Planner Buyer level: up to 10% travel; driver's license required
- Preferred: one year of Supply Chain related experience for Associate level
- Basic contract knowledge, negotiation, and project management skills preferred
- Experience in plant or utility operations preferred
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or equivalent preferred
- Procurement planning, negotiation, sourcing, and supplier relationships experience preferred
