About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead staff regarding DER integration processes across all service territories
  • Support and advocate for effective DER integration policies
  • Work with public utility commissions and key stakeholders to align rules and processes
  • Provide engineering expertise regarding DER, grid impacts, and project management
  • Ensure safe and reliable operation of the distribution system
  • Promote teamwork, diversity, safety, customer orientation, and employee development
  • Coordinate Unit activities with internal and external organizations
  • Deliver goals related to project completion, budgets, safety, facility performance, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction
  • Develop the Unit business plan and operating budget; monitor results
  • Stay current on new technologies and industry practices
  • Represent the company in regional and national organizations
  • Represent the company in regulatory and legal matters
  • Manage routine budgets

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical engineering preferred) or related work experience
  • Seven years of distribution engineering and/or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of three years of supervisory/management experience
  • Prior utility regulatory experience preferred
  • Experience with DER integration processes desired
