About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead day-to-day execution of technology delivery within major transformation programs
  • Oversee planning, coordination, and delivery across multiple technology domains
  • Ensure solutions are built, tested, and deployed in alignment with program objectives, regulatory timelines, and enterprise standards
  • Own integration delivery across SAP integrations built on BTP and integration/application remediation for edge systems connecting to the new CIS
  • Apply approved integration strategy, ISA-M patterns, and clean-core principles
  • Establish clear interface pattern decisions, including application-to-application, B2B, API-managed, and event-driven
  • Drive integration monitoring, error handling, and alerting standards
  • Lead integration and application remediation for retained edge applications
  • Coordinate remediation across ACE/APIC, SeeBurger, MFT, IICS, Apigee, and AWS services
  • Plan and govern integration shutdown and recommissioning for retiring edge applications
  • Maintain an integrated integration delivery plan aligned with release roadmaps, test cycles, freeze periods, and customer experience protection windows
  • Hold system integrators and vendors accountable for scope, quality, schedule, and estimates
  • Own integration risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions; report status, readiness, and trade-offs to program and IT leadership
  • Coordinate with architecture, data conversion, testing, security, infrastructure, network, and business process teams
  • Develop and mentor Xcel Energy integration staff and contractors

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • 10+ years of experience in IT program delivery, systems implementation, technology operations, or utility-focused IT roles
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience
  • Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale or multi-tower technology initiatives
  • Strong understanding of integrated utility systems, modernization, and cross-platform delivery practices
  • Proven ability to manage internal and vendor delivery teams in a matrixed environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills in complex, fast-moving program environments
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Hands-on delivery experience with API management and event-driven patterns
  • Working knowledge of IBM ACE/APIC, Apigee, AWS integration services, MFT, and B2B/EDI tools
  • Proven ability to manage system integrator and vendor delivery, including scope, estimates, quality gates, and escalations
  • Utility industry experience, particularly with meter-to-cash processes and applications
