About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute sourcing category, supplier, and risk management strategies aligned with business stakeholder priorities
  • Lead cross-functional teams from the business and Supply Chain to drive project and category outcomes
  • Plan and lead competitive sourcing events using an enterprise-wide approach
  • Develop negotiation strategies and conduct supplier negotiations
  • Lead supplier performance, relationship, and development activities
  • Develop and execute contracts with key suppliers
  • Provide direct sourcing and contracting support for third-party contractor services, including electric, gas, and engineering functions
  • Optimize cost and improve operations through enterprise-wide category strategies
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders on business demands, category/contract strategy, and execution
  • Perform spend and cost analysis, including total cost of ownership and should-cost models
  • Research suppliers and develop risk profiles while monitoring industry information, external factors, and trends
  • Implement optimal inventory strategies with logistics personnel
  • Manage supplier performance using scorecards and resolve supplier disputes
  • Negotiate contract terms, changes, and additional work orders
  • Monitor purchasing and contract compliance
  • Manage contractor claims and minimize impacts to cost and schedule
  • Ensure suppliers comply with contract terms and commitments
  • Develop contract summaries and implementation plans
  • Develop risk management strategies and administer category contract agreements with Legal and Security teams
  • Lead cross-functional project plans, change management, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Integrate sourcing and business project plans with business leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, business, or related technical/analytical field
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Five years of supply chain experience with focus in sourcing
  • Three years of contract formation knowledge and experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Significant experience with purchasing and sourcing systems
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills
  • Required to attend meetings in various locations, up to 20% travel
  • Driver's license required
  • MBA preferred
  • Certified Professional in Supply Chain Management (CPSM) or other supply chain certification preferred
  • Negotiation and project management skills preferred
  • Previous experience managing categories with annual spend exceeding $100 million preferred
