Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage transport customer information in the software system, including nominations, scheduling, confirmations, allocations, imbalance management, and contract administration
  • Troubleshoot and resolve gas scheduling problems and customer issues
  • Provide accurate and effective guidance to team members
  • Recognize problems, troubleshoot, and resolve customer issues and scheduling software system issues
  • Guide internal and external stakeholders through gas transportation processes, including nominations, imbalance resolution, billing inquiries, prior period adjustments, and scheduling system issues
  • Perform daily, weekly, or monthly special project duties
  • Complete contract, location, and business contact setup in the software system
  • Review and monitor imbalances with other interconnecting pipelines and reconcile differences
  • Complete pipeline closing and reporting duties
  • Train customers and internal users on basic scheduling software functions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • 5 years of Gas Scheduling or related experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Successfully perform multiple tasks with strict deadlines efficiently and accurately
  • Understand contractual rights and types of service as defined by the tariffs
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
  • Be flexible and respond effectively to changing schedules, priorities, and other urgent situations
  • Ability to recognize business opportunities from shipper scheduling patterns and turn them into revenue opportunities
  • Demonstrated understanding of how pipeline operations impact scheduling
  • Ability to train new schedulers and contribute to ongoing development of the team
  • Ability to multitask and manage several responsibilities simultaneously
  • Available to respond during working and non-working hours
  • Required to work all shifts to provide gas scheduling coverage 24/7 and 365 days per year
  • 3 years of gas scheduling software application experience (preferred)
