Key responsibilities & impact

Direct project/portfolio managers responsible for extremely large and complex substation and transmission line projects and programs
Direct technical project/portfolio opportunities and project/portfolio management activities, including schedules, budgets, implementation risk, change, opportunities, and resource allocation
Provide strategic and tactical project/portfolio implementation advice and direction
Conceptualize and manage continuous improvement and project/portfolio implementation opportunities
Cultivate effective working relationships with internal and external customers and service providers
Define workflows, accountabilities, resource requirements, and reporting relationships
Develop and direct implementation processes for the multi-year Transmission project/portfolio workbook plan
Establish and manage service level agreements and secure/manage internal and external service provider resources
Provide daily management of project/portfolio managers to ensure the workbook plan is implemented within scope, timing, and forecast guidelines
Analyze project/portfolio implementation effectiveness and implement improvements
Provide strategic and tactical guidance and decision-making for public and regulatory issues
Align project/portfolio implementation policies and procedures with company objectives and strategies

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 10 years' experience with demonstrated success in a supervisory role overseeing complex technical projects
Project Management Professional Certification must be obtained within 18 months in the position
Advanced knowledge of project management, cross-functional interaction, work direction, and performance management
Knowledge of transmission engineering and construction projects
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
P6 experience preferred
PMP Certification preferred
Regulatory Reporting experience preferred
