About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide professional safety and technical training consulting across the Company/Enterprise
  • Use systematic training approaches to develop and maintain training materials
  • Design evaluation instruments and analyze trainee and stakeholder feedback for program improvements
  • Manage training programs
  • Coordinate apprenticeship programs within regions
  • Deliver effective training while adhering to records management requirements
  • Develop skills enhancement strategies and practices for continuous personnel improvement
  • Provide oversight and work direction for apprenticeship programs, continuing technical training, and instructional staff
  • Use business processes and project management to implement training
  • Consult with customers to identify business needs and objectives
  • Provide customer contact for training services, products, and programs
  • Design and maintain testing instruments and perform statistical analysis to evaluate training effectiveness, cost benefit, and business impact
  • Perform technical and process improvement consulting
  • Adhere to Training Process Procedures
  • Coordinate and facilitate special projects
  • Travel up to 75% and spend extended periods at customer sites as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Education, or a technical field related to the subject(s) of instruction is preferred, or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge is required
  • Equivalent knowledge may include specialized trade school, instructor certification, military training, or journeyman training
  • Five years of training experience or equivalent technical work experience related to the subject area of instruction
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge and application of adult learning principles
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office applications
  • Journeyman Lineman Experience preferred
