About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Advise, translate, and align business needs with technology enablement during enterprise transformation and major initiatives.
- Support the end-to-end solution lifecycle for the Operations team.
- Implement SAP EAM business processes across requirements gathering, business workshops, gap analysis, blueprinting, design, configuration, testing, cutover, data migration, go-live, training, and post-go-live support.
- Contribute to SAP EAM/Plant Maintenance process implementation and execution.
- Integrate SAP Asset Manager and SAP Field Service Management with GIS systems such as ESRI and Smallworld.
- Assess current state, identify customer requirements, and define future-state or business solutions.
- Translate business needs into documented functional and technical solution requirements and validate feasibility.
- Collaborate with implementation partners, architects, and engineering teams to guide solution design.
- Validate functional design against end-to-end processes, upstream/downstream impacts, and integration points.
- Serve as domain subject matter expert across design, build, testing, migration, and deployment phases.
- Facilitate cross-functional design decisions and align business requirements with system capabilities.
- Support impact assessment, solution traceability, readiness work, and design documentation.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience in a domain specific or system enabled or transformation role.
- Strong understanding of enterprise systems and systems enabled business processes.
- Advanced process and system thinking and functional solution literacy.
- Strong stakeholder alignment, requirements shaping and cross functional influence skills.
- Knowledge of integration points across business functions.
- 10+ years of hands-on functional, configuration and design experience with SAP systems in Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Plant Maintenance (PM)/Service Management (SM) and Project Systems (PS) modules preferred.
- S/4 HANA with Fiori experience preferred.
- Utility experience preferred.
- Expertise in Preventive Maintenance plans, Functional locations and Equipment Master Data, Characteristics, Measurement points, Work Centers Capacity planning and scheduling, Equipment BOMs, Task lists, Notification, Maintenance and Service order management, Service Contracts and Service Entry Sheets, Compatible Units, Project Structure and WBS Hierarchy, Cost Flow Analysis of Work Orders.
- Knowledge of SAP PM integration with PS, MM, WM, HR, FI/CO and BW HANA Sidecar integration for Reporting.
- Knowledge of SAP BTP integration suite and S/4 HANA Fiori Apps library for EAM area is a plus.
- SAP Certification is a plus.
- Ability to commute 3 days a week to the downtown Minneapolis office preferred.
- Domestic US travel up to 25% or more during projects as required.
