About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as a strategic partner for large and mid-tier accounting practices
  • Drive net new business
  • Develop and execute digital strategies to help partners migrate clients onto the Xero platform
  • Own and manage the San Francisco territory
  • Build deep, lasting relationships with accounting partners
  • Develop formal engagement plans and project strategies to support partner migrations
  • Drive sustainable adoption and revenue growth across accounting and bookkeeping partners
  • Manage a consistent cycle of appointments and meetings within the allocated territory
  • Recruit, educate, and grow the partner base
  • Deliver events and certification training
  • Use Salesforce to maintain accurate data
  • Ensure excellence in forecasting and territory management
  • Collaborate with Senior Account Executive colleagues and Partner Consulting
  • Travel regularly for client visits and face-to-face meetings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven success in field account management
  • Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Interest in the fintech market
  • Ability to educate others on digital resources and online accounting
  • Initiative to work independently
  • Process-oriented and detail-focused approach
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to deliver engaging events and influence digital strategy at a practice level
  • Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce
  • Ability to travel regularly for client visits, including driving throughout Illinois
  • Must have working rights for the country this role is based in
  • Satisfactory completion of relevant background checks, which may include credit and criminal history checks
