About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the strategy and end-to-end execution of Xero-led and sponsored events across Canada
  • Create memorable event experiences, including CA Roadshows and Xerocon
  • Advise key stakeholders and provide guidance and mentorship across the marketing team
  • Plan and execute flagship Canadian events and external industry sponsorships
  • Manage event budgets, venue selection, vendor contract negotiations, and on-site delivery
  • Use event technology platforms and evaluate performance data
  • Deliver post-event recommendations and ROI insights
  • Optimise operational processes and frameworks for consistency, efficiency, and regional scale
  • Collaborate with local and global brand, sales, communications, legal, and finance partners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Comprehensive experience in end-to-end event management, marketing project delivery, and event technology platforms
  • Ability to influence stakeholders, negotiate vendor contracts, and collaborate across cross-functional marketing and sales teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail across every aspect of event delivery
  • Proven ability to manage complex budgets, analyse event performance data, and translate learnings into strategic recommendations
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities while balancing high-level strategy with hands-on execution
  • Must be based in Canada
  • Relevant working rights for Canada
