About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with product legal requirements for expansion into new markets and substantiate existing frameworks
- Advise on assisting clients with corporate matters
- Monitor upcoming regulatory and legal developments
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including partnership agreements, policies, and vendor agreements
- Advise and support AML and GDPR teams with guidance interpretation, internal processes, and risk management procedures
- Establish legal processes for contract management, compliance tracking, and due diligence
- Collaborate with Growth, Product, and Engineering teams
- Help build a stand-alone legal function at Xolo
Requirements
What you’ll need- Legal expertise or strong interest in accounting, international taxation, corporate law, and financial partnerships
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills
- Interest in international regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements
- Ability to identify and assess legal risks and create mitigation strategies and processes
- Strong interest in global expansion and compliant operations in new markets
- Experience in a law firm, startup, or financial services industry
- Prior experience related to corporate or tax law, advising startups, or working for startups helpful
- Experience working within the Spanish framework is a bonus
