About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the full employee lifecycle for the team in Spain, from onboarding to offboarding
- Ensure practices follow Spanish labour law and the applicable collective agreement
- Work with payroll providers and external advisors to ensure payroll inputs, Social Security registrations and reporting are correct and timely
- Manage occupational health and safety for the team in Spain
- Serve as the first point of contact for employees in Spain regarding contracts, leave, benefits and other employment questions
- Prepare and manage employment documents for different countries using templates and local advisors when needed
- Manage day-to-day work with EOR partners, including onboarding, offboarding, contract changes, and checking payroll and leave data
- Prepare and manage independent contractor agreements and maintain contractor records
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data, supporting reporting and audits
- Support people-related administration, including residence and work permits, option agreements and benefits changes
- Improve HR processes locally and across the group
- Participate in the interview process, including screening calls, hiring manager interviews and final team meetings
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 3 years of experience in HR, preferably in an HR Operations or Generalist role
- Fluency in Spanish and English
- Strong knowledge of Spanish labour law, collective agreements and payroll processes, with practical application experience
- Experience preparing and managing employment contracts and other employee documents
- Experience with international HR, or a strong interest in it
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Service-oriented mindset and strong communication skills
- Comfort with shifting priorities and taking ownership of the area
