About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead regional service efforts with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Guide service efforts of Flygt and other relevant Xylem brand OEM service facilities in the region
- Develop and implement plans for service center improvements, customer-owned repairs, field services, start-ups, commissioning, and preventive maintenance
- Support the service call center process by providing end-user support 24/7/365
- Review and manage service metrics for repair time to quote, time to repair, and quality/warranty
- Provide service and shop operational guidance to Sales/Service branch operations
- Supervise and train personnel for in-shop repairs, start-ups, and field service
- Interface with end users by phone or on-site visits to handle service problems and start-ups
- Manage equipment repairs for the region and individual service centers
- Schedule equipment, resources, and employees for large projects and review associated documents with local branches
- Assist Regional Operations Manager and Service Center Managers in streamlining operational processes using LEAN principles and creating regional standards
- Participate in cross-functional teams to improve customer experience and increase profitability
- Identify, plan, and execute growth and expansion opportunities within the region
- Travel as required to fulfill job duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Submersible Pumps experience
- 3-5 years of experience in service and/or rental fleet management
- A minimum of 5 years of experience having led and managed a team is required
- 3-5 years’ experience in related field of pumps, pumping systems, equipment rental or construction preferred
- Bachelor Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Green Belt certification preferred or willingness to earn one within the first 18 months
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and remain focused and organized
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Ability to effectively delegate responsibility and manage the work activities of others
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and the use of computer applications
- Ability to meet and continuously maintain authorization to operate a company vehicle
- Knowledge of electric submersible and pumping equipment
- M&C and Electrical Skills
- Familiarity with the service industry and markets served, including construction, mining, municipalities, and industrial
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to travel 30-60%
