About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage a team of Application Engineers supporting work primarily in North America and some global opportunities
- Provide opportunity Go No Go support
- Review opportunities for sufficient Discovery
- Manage the opportunity funnel and assign opportunities to Application Engineers
- Collaborate with engineers and scientists to develop new technologies and solutions
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste
- Develop and implement quality control procedures ensuring proposals meet industry standards
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for smooth project execution
- Provide technical support to customers and colleagues, answering inquiries and troubleshooting issues
- Stay current with industry developments and trends to provide expert technical advice
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures in chemical process design and operation
- Develop and implement plans to minimize environmental impact of chemical processes
- Participate in audits and inspections for safety and environmental compliance
Requirements
What you’ll need- A master's degree in chemical engineering with 7+ years of experience, or a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or related engineering field with at least 10 years of experience, or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts
- 3-5 years of people management experience required
- Proficiency in integrated business management and CRM software
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Minimal travel required, 20% or less
