About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform HDPE pipe fusion using McElroy fusion equipment in accordance with industry standards and manufacturer specifications
- Support large-scale pipe installation, site setup, and decommissioning projects at customer locations
- Conduct basic preventive maintenance and minor mechanical repairs on fusion equipment
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs as needed
- Safely operate and maintain company-provided fusion equipment, service vehicle, trailer, and specialty tools
- Ensure all work is completed safely while following company policies and customer site requirements
- Build strong relationships with customers by providing professional service and technical expertise
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and communicate project updates with internal teams
- Travel extensively to customer job sites throughout the Southeastern United States and occasionally elsewhere in the U.S.
- Perform heat fusion of HDPE piping systems, comprising approximately 95% of the role
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current National HDPE Fusion Certification (required)
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to obtain required customer clearances (TWIC, DISA, etc.) as needed
- Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card
- Completion of required driver qualification documentation, including MVR, FMCSA, and DOT compliance requirements
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively based on business needs
- Hands-on experience performing HDPE pipe fusion in industrial or construction environments
- Experience operating McElroy fusion equipment preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Basic diesel engine knowledge
- Experience performing preventive maintenance and minor mechanical repairs on equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical equipment in the field
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
- Ability to adapt to changing project schedules and customer needs
- Employees are expected to provide their own basic hand tools
